How to join a game. Joining a game is a two-step process:

  1. Register for your playing sheets.
  2. Check your email & text for your access code and link. You'll enter your access code to verify your registration and then you'll be able to join the Zoom Room and click on your desired card format. The digital format will allow you to click each song after you hear it! The songs clips will be played through the Zoom room sound. It is important that you can clearly hear music from the device you are using.

To register for an access code:

Go to TeamTrivia.com
Find the game you want to play in.
Find the game’s “Register” button (it is blue) and click on it.
Click on your preferred form of payment and follow the instructions.
Once you have completed payment, your playing sheets and Zoom invitation should arrive no later than 30 minutes before the start of the game. (do not forget to look in your spam folder!
We recommend that you print out your playing sheets, or find a free .PDF editor to be able to highlight the songs on your card as you hear them

Click on the Zoom invitation in your email:

The Zoom room, which is where you can listen to the music and watch the live host as they guide you through the game, opens 15 minutes before the game begins.

How to play Name Those Songs:
So, you have your Name Those Songs “playing sheets”, either printed out or opened in an app that allows you to mark or highlight the songs as you hear them. You have your Zoom invitation as well, and now you are wondering… “How is this going to work?
Below is an example of one of the cards you have received by email.

Enter the Zoom meeting by clicking the link in you email. Make sure you can clearly hear the host and any music that is playing. The host will announce the title of the game that is about to start (80’s #1 hits, Top 100 Hits, etc…). Have the corresponding sheet ready to either mark, or if you are playing on your computer open in an app that will let you highlight it on your screen.
The host will announce the pattern that is required to win (5 in a row, 4 corners, etc.) then play 30 second clips of the types of songs that populate your sheets. When you have the pattern required to win type “Soundcheck!” into the Zoom chat (HINT: you may want to have it typed and ready).

THIS IS IMPORTANT: IF SOMEONE CLAIMS TO HAVE WON, DO NOT DISCARD YOUR CARDS.

How the game is played
Name Those Songs is played in rounds. There are 4 rounds in a game. Each game will have a different category of music (80’s #1 hits, Top 100 Hits, etc…). There will be 3 winners per round. YOU PLAY ONE (two square) SHEET THROUGHOUT EACH ROUND. You may only be one or two songs away from a win when someone else claims “Soundcheck!), so just keep going when the host starts the music again.
